Brits Spend More on Beauty Than Health Care

Women spend £258 a year on cosmetics.

Socialized medicine is a beautiful thing! According to an article in London's The Sun, women spend an average of £258 a year on cosmetics and hair products (about $332 at current exchange rates) but only £161 on health checkups. Furthermore, more than half said they would put up with a permanent pain like a sore hip in exchange for a perfect physique.
